Lent 3 - Shame Untied by Truth

John 18:12–27

Peter stands by a charcoal fire and denies the One he loves. Fear and self-preservation bind him, and shame begins its quiet work. This week invites us to confront the false stories shame tells—stories that say we are disqualified or beyond grace. Yet the rooster’s crow is not condemnation; it is awakening. Grace interrupts illusion. In turning back toward Christ, we discover that failure does not have the final word. The church becomes a place where confession leads to restoration, not rejection.
