St. Luke's is a spiritually alive congregation committed to welcoming all people of all generations and helping them become disciples of Jesus in their community and the world.

Whether it's through one of our inspiring worship services, our active children's and youth ministries, our food pantry, thrift store, free family movie nights, or one of the many small group Bible study opportunities, we believe anyone can find their place in the St. Luke's United Methodist Church community. None of us claim to be perfect or to have all the answers - we hope that you'll join us on the journey to discover our part in the story God is writing.

I was born in Atlanta, Ga. but grew up in southeast Florida. I attended Florida Southern College for one year then transferred to Barry College in Miami where I earned a BS in nursing. Most of my nursing career was working in surgical ICU, although I did serve as a Head Nurse/Nursing Supervisor on a Head Trauma/Spinal Cord Unit for several years.

I discerned God's call into ministry in 1992, and began the process to become a Diaconal Minister and later a Deacon with my specialty and certification in Christian education. But God was not finished! In 1998, I discerned a call to be an Elder in the UMC and began my work towards my MDiv at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary. As an elder I have served Calvary UMC in Lake Worth and Davie UMC.

I have a son, Harold, who lives in NYC and two very spoiled dogs named Maggie and Jazzy. I married my husband George - a long-time St. Luke's member - on January 2, 2016. It is with great excitement that I serve St. Lukes UMC and I look forward to getting to know you! Come, get involved as we reach out to the people of our community with the love of Jesus Christ.
