Jesus Is Lord
Living in the Lordship of Christ

Based on Bishop Tom Berlin’s book Jesus Is Lord, this 7-week worship series invites us to move beyond simply believing in Jesus to intentionally living under the lordship of Jesus. To say “Jesus is Lord” is more than a statement of faith—it is a way of life. It means trusting Jesus, surrendering our lives to him, and allowing his grace to shape who we are becoming.

Throughout the series, we will explore what changes when Jesus becomes my Lord: how we love, how we treat others, how we use what we have, how we serve, how we forgive, and how we make everyday decisions. We will discover that the lordship of Jesus is not about fear, coercion, or punishment, but about the transforming power of God’s grace and love. The cross reveals the depth of that love, and the resurrection declares that the way of Jesus is ultimately the way of life.

Each week will challenge us to lay down the competing “lords” that seek our allegiance and ask a deeply personal question: If Jesus really is Lord, what does that mean for the way I live?

Through worship, scripture, preaching, and our GROW Groups, we will discover that proclaiming “Jesus Is Lord” is not simply something we say. It is an invitation to become people whose whole lives increasingly look like Jesus—loving boldly, serving joyfully, and leading courageously for the transformation of the world.
